  • Insurance,Snap ring pliers

Thought it might be of some interest that Hagerty Insurance Has very reasonable rates to insure bikes 1985 and older($33)per year for my maxims and 11's.
Bikes must be garage kept, less than 2500 miles per year, not daily driver
    and worth $3000.
I have no affiliation with them,
Also in my search for long nosed snap ring pliers,I found a skinny pair of needle nose at Home depot,Hemostats work well also.
I think I also included some pics. of my 79 special
The snow pics. are when I first got it,missing forks pic. when I replaced them and how it looks now
    78standard,79 & 80 Specials; 2 x 650 Maxims; 4 x RD350's; yz450; 2 x Honda tlr's;2x jt1 mini.

Dunno how you did it, but I was quoted $275 for my bike, and the minimum value was $5k.

          Lucky me

I guess I should feel pretty lucky.
The pricing I mentioned was for full coverage.
It probably doesn't hurt that I have 4 bikes and a 1964 buick
          On the same policy.
          I wonder about Grundy?

The cheapest I found was Progressive, but I did some research and registered my bike with a historical license...tag is good for 10 years, and cost $30

insurance is about $130 a year, but it's because of lower Michigan Catastrophic Fund for historical vehicles...that's why Ian they quoted you in ~$300, it's $245 just for those uninsured/underinsured idiots...

the downfall of historical license is that you shouldn't ride it everyday...only for meets, rallies, shows, etc., except in August when you can ride all you want...

my story is, I have to warm it up for tunning(officer)

                Hi Nick,
back in Manitoba our club president had the same type of bargain insurance, only good for rallies etc.
Whenever he felt the urge to ride he'd phone a club member local to his chosen destination.
"I'm doing a rally proving run out to your town, put the coffee on."
