    Dale,

You can buy a new one. I don't know why, but it appears 2H7-24500-00-00 FUEL COCK ASY 1 is peculiar to the XS1100G. I linked the part number.

      Petcock

      Marty
Took your advice and bought a new one for the left side. Unfortunately, this petcock will not fit the Standard with original air box as it hits the air box and will not let the tank fit. It would probably work if someone has pods but pods are not my preference. I suppose you could mount it on the right side and turn the vacuum nipple around and use one petcock but again, I try to stay as original as possible.

Marty, there's another one listed for the left side:
        3G1-24500-03-00
        http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/ya...500-03-00.html
It also shows that it's used in other bikes too.

        1978 XS1100E FUEL TANK
        1978 XS650SE FUEL TANK
        1978 XS650SE-11 FUEL TANK
        1978 XS650SE-114241 FUEL TANK XS650SG
        1979 XS1100F FUEL TANK
        1979 XS650SF FUEL TANK
        1980 XS1100G FUEL TANK
        1980 XS650G FUEL TANK
        1980 XS650SG FUEL TANK
        1981 XS1100H FUEL TANK
        1981 XS650H FUEL TANK
        1981 XS650SH FUEL TANK
        1982 XS650SJ FUEL TANK
        1983 XS650SK FUEL TANK

Since the smaller bikes only use the left side, it makes sense that the left one is more available. (and the right side ones are only for the 78-81 standards)
With this reasoning, the 650 petcocks that MikesXS sells should fit right?

I can't figure why the other one listed wouldn't fit.
Unless the 80G fitment is a little different than Foreda's 78

That part should be peculiar to the XS1100G. It's unfortunate that the OEM part doesn't fit. I would not have expected that.
