Wide front forks/tire? Looking for input.

Has anyone attempted to put a wider front fork-tire set up (think cruzer or wide-glide) on one of these machines? Just have some rumblings between my ears and wondered if a Venture or ? triple tree would or could fit? I am going to play with my spare frame to see what I can come up with this winter. Just looking to see if anyone has attempted this. Hmmmm.....

The FJ1100-1200 forks can be made to fit, they have a wider stance/separation and are 41MM as opposed to our 37MM. You can use the wider FJ wheel, I chose to stay with the stocker XS wheel.

I'm using FJ1200 3CV forks, drilled at the axle mounts to take an XJR1200 17 x 3.5 inch wheel.

Interesting, those forks look to have the anti-dive valve on the lower left fork.

Yes they used to be there, they have been removed and capped off. The internals have also been modified in conjunction with the anti-dive bypass. Stiffer straight wound springs take care of front end dive.
