    650 vs 1100 caliper piston

So I email Mikesxs telling them that according to my associates here on XS11.com the 650 and 1100 caliper piston are the same.

The reply: "Thanks for the information, I will look more in to it".

    Fair enough I suppose.

Here is their reply when I told them the XS650 piston would work in the 1100 applications... From early December 2012.

"Thanks for your assistance and we will target the SX1100 customer, we appreciate your business.

      So, don't hold your breath...

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462

Caliper pistons, seals and rattle clips are all available from the XJ site that I posted about in product evaluations.
        http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=40222.html
I would be interested to know how the prices compare to what you ended up buying.

Frank's caliper piston price is $22.90. Caliper rebuild kit is $19.10. Shipping is $12.00. Looks to be pretty reasonably priced. I bought pistons only.

These were for a 1980G (Std).

Ok. I was just wondering how it compared as some things seem higher on that site and some seem lower. I guess every place has some things better than others.
Caliper pistons for your bike would appear to be $24.95 each and $47.95 for a pair on the XJ site.
Piston and seal kits are $89.95 each and $174.95 for a set. Unsure of shipping as I am far away from your address.
I forgot to look at what the seal kits are by themselves.
I guess that it does pay to shop around for sure. Of course if one could combine shipping on every thing from S/S brake lines to piston and/or seal kits MC rebuild kits to anti rattle clips to rotors to brake pads and even the retaining screws it may save some shipping costs as well as make it a one stop shop.
I was only interested as I fit the lines for the XS11's for this site and was surprised at what all they offered besides the brake lines.
                Thanks for the info!
