Hmm alright. I'll look into what the guy I am copying did. Also reading the other posts on here by xschop.

Doing some pricing and research regarding the chain swap and other bits. Would the swinger and front end from an fj1100 or 1200 work on an xs11. Would it be much of an upgrade front end wise?

I doubt the swingarm would be anywhere even close to being able to work. The FJ11 front end will fit with some modification, the forks are beefier and set further apart than the XS, but they are still damper rod forks.

Why? Forget chain drives and big bores. You'll get negligible performance increase and it will cost a fortune.

I had 175bhp on my XS thanks to http://www.noswizard.com/
XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

Im not doing the big bore. The chain drive will not cost me much to make. We have a FARO arm at the shop and CNCs to do the mill work. Im more doing it to learn a lot more about Solidworks and running a CNC.

I decided against e big bore. Just got it honed and I am replacing rings for now. Sounded like from you and others that the bore would not increase hp much.

Anything is possible, your only limitation is your skills and resource$. Not many people have gone to moderen inverted forks. The most popular upgrade for the front end is FJ forks. Do a search and you will find the details for the swap.
