  • Correct assembly of MC kit

Would someone please steer me straight on the proper way to assemble this rebuild kit for a '79 rear mc? Here are the parts--

I got the bigger seal in place but wasn't sure of the sequence of parts from there as well as right side up vs. upside down

Want to make sure the bike stops once it's rolling, Thanks.

    Hey Billy,

You have the parts laid out in the order in which they go on the end of the plunger. The washer covers the holes, the rubber seal goes on cup side up as shown, then the metal fitting that protects the seal from the spring. The small end of the spring then goes into that metal fitting.

    Hope that helps you out.

It helps big time! I bought the mc on Ebay and most of the pieces were missing from the plunger when I took it apart so I had nothing to compare with. Thanks, now I can put it back together tomorrow.

And congrats on the 9,000 post milestone...that's dedication!
