I like the way your current headlight looks now. $100+ for a headlight? Screw that! Go buy a used one off Ebay. Then, buy an HID kit and make it look badass. What year is your bike? What kind of pipes are those?

PS. What is the current bucket on there now? Down the road if I ever buy another XS, I'd like to cafe it, and go with a round headlight.

$10 cheaper for the same thing.

The XS650 light might fit. It is not the same shape as the XS1100 light. If I were mounting the XS650 light on my Special I can see how it will be very close to the instrument cluster. The back of the 1100S light is cone shaped where the XS650 light is round in back.

Buy one on eBay. The probably built 500 XS650s for every XS1100.

the headlight now is from a xj750 maxim. The bike is 1980. The pipes came with the bike and has no brand on it. It is a 4 into 1. I took the baffle out and replace it with a small harley baffle for more noise.

I got an XS750 (I think it was) headlight off ebay for Ruby when I built that bike. The top hole was no in the bucket and the wires would not work, so I had to cut a hole in the bucket on the top area.

            Hey Ian,

Those pipes are the no nameplate Macs that JC Whitney sold many a year ago. I have them on mine, put them on shortly after I got my bike back to the states in the mid 80's...in my ignorant youth! They are ceramic paint coated. I've had to touch up my headers near the head a little, but are still going strong. My bike is garage kept, but for ~9 years it was left outside uncovered.....the pipes didn't rust out/through!

              adjustment

The adjustment for up and own is opposite on the XS650 than the XS1100. I guess it could be made to work if you bent up some sheet metal. Clarify what your getting. I like the light on your bike now, in fact I like your bike just the way it is !
