xj/xs tank swap

Hey guys,

I know many people have changed out their tanks on their xj's and xs's. I have an XJ11 that I'd love to have an XS special tank on for looks only.

My understanding is this isnt an even swap, do you know what would need to be modified? I don't have access to an XS tank to see the differences and I couldn't find it in search.

The special and the XJ tanks are very similar in looks. The Xj tank is just a bit longer and stretched out.

I believe TC put an XJ tank on his and had to weld a new rear tank locator pin farther back than the stock location, so you would need a new pin farther forward.
