I have to say the Kerker I had on the '79 standard was that AND MORE! There is no "reason" to have it, but the SOUND was great! The trip leading everyone up through California highway 1, and just NEEDING to "let go". Yes, a few who were on that trip will probably remember the growl to wail when I took it above 6KRPM's. There was something about a Kerker that I thought just MADE the bike..... -
I had one and it sounded ok but the sound of my Kerker was even more visceral...and louder...blipping the throttle made the engine sound like it was barking...like a spastic animal wanting to rip your face off...so to say...Leave a comment:

Sorry, was confusing the two... meant Bobs old lime green...
Its a specific brand, not just a header and muffler.
Once you hear the sweet sound it makes you'll understand.

Yup, that's the same.
I don't like 4 into 1's anyway. The only reason I have one on The Hornet is I ordered the wrong damn part #. $400 later I gotta use it on something.

I see the seller did NOT include "clear" pictures of the pipes! He DID show 4 pictures of the muffler, so that is ALL I would bid on.... If you look at the pipe to muffler connection, that is NOT a factory welding job. the flat spot on the bottom pipe is also not a good thing.
I would not buy it, but that's me, and I still have a few parts...Leave a comment:

Greg, that is a Jardine on the green hornet. I can tell because I have one myself, the oval can and awkward pipe to the can give it away. I know all too well about the poor clearance and have had sparks fly from my right heal.
I suppose if it will fit the Eleven it is a good deal. A little paint would go a long ways. I just thought maybe someone has seen this type before. Thought it was interesting that there is no mention of it on the UK site either...Leave a comment:
