Posting pics requires you upload to a hosting site like Photobucket.

While on photobucket, select the image you want to paste, when that picture is up, look at the right side of the screen, you will see a list of "links to share this photo". In that list, at the bottom, you will see the "IMG" link. If you simply left click on that code, you will see the word "copied" briefly appear. Now come to your post here and on a blank line right click and choose paste. You will see the big long code appear. When you post the reply, your picture will appear.

So is that a kit of some kind or did you swap out to an automotive rear end?

              Purple Power!

That turned out great. Good work.

I too am curious for details on rear end. What is the power and gearing like?

              How much does it weigh?

Sad that it doesn't have a reverse gear.

Or does it? I do remember following your build thread a while back, but I can't remember if you talked about reverse or not.

                    trike build

No kit, done everything myself. straight axle rear end. And yes it does have reverse. And the power and rear end gear ratio is very close to what it was with 2 wheels. don't have the paperwork in front of me but between the rear end gears and tire size I am real close to the stock ratio. Power don't know yet have to call dot to get it inspected before I can put it on the road. I use to build and race stockcars, so I used a bert 358 modified flywheel which bolted up real nice to the rearend flange then to drive shaft, then used a 03 subaru boxer engine starter. Built a bracket and put it the rearend mounted the starter facing the front of the trike and put in a relay and a button switch on the handle bar and we have reverse. And its about 4 to 5 miles ahour in speed going backwards.

That would be so cool getting on and backing out before you turn on the engine. Everyone would be like What is that sound? They would think you had an electric motor until you started the beast! Very nice job on this ride.

                          trike build

My wife said she was going to do that just to see the reactions on peoples faces. She also thinks that I am awsome for thinking of her so she wouldn't have to push the trike at all.
