Almost all of the round Yamaha headlights from that time were the same. I replaced a missing headlight from my 80 Special with one from an 850 Special and it was an exact fit. I'd be surprised if the ears are the same.

Unfortunately Yamaha used several rectangular headlights and they don’t seem to be interchangeable from model to model. I bought a 550 Vision and a 650 Seca headlights and neither of them would fit without extreme modification. I went with the 550 headlight but I had to use dirt bike mounts and cut large amounts of plastic away to make it fit.

      Thanks Tony.....

None of the fiche that I found online shows the part numbers for the ears for the xs1100 so I can't compair them to the other modles.

By the way it is a Special with the round headlight.

      Thanks again,

      Steve

They may fit, but the 650 Special fork ears I've seen are not the same as 1100 Special fork ears.

BTW, I also have a pair of headlight ears for a special burried somewhere in my garage. They're a bit rusty but I'd let them go cheap if I can find them. I'll dig for them this week.

                Headlight bucket and ears

I am running a bucket and ears from an 850 Special. I don't really know if the P/N's are the same, but everything fit perfectly, and looks like it belongs there. There were enough holes in the back of the bucket for all the wires to fit through. Check the P/N's at the Yamaha on line site. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/ . Try this site.

                  Hi Guys,

Thanks for the offer. I have my local guy checking on some of the other parts that I need. Should know in the next couple of days.

                  Thanks,

                  Steve
