Anyone out there have an idea on how much the back end sinks on a large bump with a heftier rider? Just curious for info while working on my solo cruiser project. Any insight is appreciated.

That's the beauty of the XJ rear shocks. If you're a heftier rider and it sinks to much, shoot some more air to them.
Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

I can always ride my fat arse up there and sit on your bike and show you how much it will sink.

well i've tried plopping my 240lb on her to make her drop, but i think without the engine and front tire on it is a futile effort. I have used a ratchet strap to do that effect. i forget the amount of travel i have before the fender touches as it is. I really should write it down.
and what is this rally and vintage bike show you speak of Rasputin? i've been concentrating so much on school that I know nothing of it...

Got 40 pounds on you . The Canadian motorcycle vintage group has an event in Ponoka on July 26th weekend. I myself have not gone to the Ponoka one for far too many years to remember but it is a great show. Not sure but I think it is a swap meet as well. Look it up or I can pm you the stuff later when I have it handy. Either way we are trying to get local XSessives to attend so we can do a meet and greet and some general BS'ing. I have sent various messages to people who have not responded nor have they acknowledged the thread Mmatches started. Bummer.

you know, if i wasn't just getting back from a week of golfing in Kimberly (if it doesn't get washed away) and going into a golf tournament in Wetaskiwin on the saturday, I'd try to make it out. I think the missus and the kids might want to see me though.

Yer choice but as it is a month away, maybe you could move stuff around a wee bit and attend for and hour or so (family matters excluded of course). Any ways just a thought. Would like to meet you and many others if they decide to attend.

well I ended up asking a friend to help me with this as he weighs about as much ad make and the motor combined. I had him sit on the bike and bounce. looks like I'll be good

I had 2-up on my SG with XJ rear shocks. Aired 'em up to 50#, went on some rough roads. No bottoming with 2 riders in the 230# range. Tires were at max inflate. Bike handled the weight well. XJ shocks are good. When I deflated them a few days later for single riding they were still at 50#.
