Anyone tried these pod filters from Partsnmore.com? They look like K&N knock-offs. Item # #15-0035. Cheap enough..

I would suspect they're the same a the Mike's XS filters. Over on the XS650 side of the fence UNI pods are what is most reported as the best choice with CV carburetors. Will these even fit on the XS/XJ1100?

If they're like Mike's, that would be fine. I just wouldn't want the lip in there like the cheaper pods. I'm sure I could rig up something to get a couple extra HP, but the pods have worked well for me and I like how they look.

I've had good luck with the UNI pods and the K&Ns but have gone back to the air box W/K&N filter. Now I'm in the re-tune mode running 2 size larger mains and pilot needles set at #1-3 turns out #2-3 1/2, #3-3 1/2, #4-3 turns out. I'm doing the slow around town pilot mix at this point, might be awhile. Then it's on to the slab for some high speed work. Watch for white/grey and if little silver/black specks show up on the electrode insulator you are burning up the tops of the piston/s.

Which is fine with the XS. Finding a regular air filter for the XJ is getting tough. A K&N is unobtainium.

So, do you have any experience with these pod filters listed?

No, these are new to me. I know the Emgos are a problem from the get go. UNI pods will run about $20 ea. with shipping from JCW. I'd offer my like new set but I'm not satisfied with the stock air box yet W/K&N filter. I've heard here good things about the Mike's XS XS filters !

              Hey Tod,

Here's a CLOSEUP Image that you can see on their site when you click on the thumbnail...note the letters XS on the chrome endcap!

Folks have reported using them just fine. I've also used the Foam cylindrical Unifilters....but mine were some time ago with chrome caps....but one fell off, so I rotated it to one of the inner carbs, but it worked well.

Thanks, TC. If I remember, the ones from Mike's doesn't have the XS logo any more?

BUT.. Looking back through my old emails, I see that I bought the last couple sets through Aperaceparts.com. Been good filters, and they're $60 for the set, so only a buck more each for something I KNOW is high quality. I was thinking I paid more for them. Thanks.
