Hi guys........Still looking for a way of dropping the RPMs while crusing around the highways ????? ANYONE !!!!!

The season is coming up soon over here in Montreal, Canada..another week or so should do...If Mother nature is on our side

Bend the tach needle and then forget about it. These things were meant to rev. If you have some where that you can run at 7000 plus for any length of time without getting killed or loosing your license you are luckier than most of us.

camper: I think I understand why you want to bring the RPM down. The constant vibrations always put my ass to sleep. Grab a sheep skin to throw on the seat, I can't explain why but once I did that it no longer bugged me.
140-150 down the 401 without a care in the world.

I'd agree unless the motor's all tricked up to buggery and is kicking out big gobs of extra power leave the gearing as is. On a stock XS11 you wouldn't want to drop any more than 500 revs - you'd be tap dancing the gearlever too much. Top gear roll ons would feel sluggish. Doubt you'd get much difference in fuel economy either unless you're constantly riding tailwinds. In headwinds you'd actually lose economy. T1ny, sounds like your machine needs a carb sync or mounting bolts checked. XS11's should be silky smooth.

Get a goldwing with overdrive
Or if hi revs bother you... get a falcone...
