    I looked up the parts fiche and those 2 clips are listed and shown ontop of the carb 'bridge' mount.
    WOW! to find one that still has the stock little bits like that.
    That they are, as my Venturer has them intact also.

      Very nice bike to start with. Sounds like it will need tires front and rear and likely a good carb cleaning. As mentioned, a brake system disassembly and cleaning to stop that steed. Ask questions, use the search function and have patients and you'll make a nice riding bike out of it.

        very nice bike, almost exact copy of mine Mine was all original with 7K miles on it, and Yammy fairing...




        except that my pipes were shot...but I welded them back up

          Yeah, there was all sorts of little brackets and clips that tend to disappear over time....

            Thanks for all the great info everybody and for making me feel so welcome! The more I look around in here the more amazed I am with the XS community.

            I cant wait to get the bike to my garage tomorrow and start the fun!
