  • Turn Signal confusion

So I got a call from the fella that bought Ruby from me looking for some help. It seems the turn signals are being rather contrary.

The way he describes it is that the left signal is barely workign if at all. The right one will come on and flash, but goes out quickly, like the cancelling unit is turning it off but with very little time delay.

When he hits the hazards, the right side lights up and blinks, left side is very very weak blink.

My thought is perhaps the flasher cancelling unit, but then it would not effect the hazards.

Might be the ground wires are loose.

I had that thought to, I know I put them on good when I worked on it, but, never know if one came a little loose some how.

How would the flasher cancellor effect the circuit if it died?

Unplug the canceller unit to bypass, if that is the problem, the signals should just flash normally.

I was having problems with mine. Slow left signals, no right signals, and no flashers. I found loose screws inside the switchgear. All fixed!

I was wondering about how to bypass the cancel unit.

I will pass along these thoughts to the new owner..( I guess that makes me a PO ).
