If you don't run out before you get there.

Unfortunate for us we do not get the option of ethanol free gas. All of our pumps have it for regular fuel. Gas prices are high enough that I do not even look at the premium but it has ethanol in it as well. Add that to the fact that it can be up to a 100 miles between stations on some roads and you will soon set up your ride for ethanol. You will also do what is necessary to keep it running, be it stabilizers or what have you.
The elderly fuel stabilizers are on sale here and everyone thinks it is such a deal. Thing is unless it is good for ethanol fuel you may as well piss in the tank.
So yes you are right in recommending fuel stabilizers that work and I thank you for that and I will look into the availability of those up in the Canadian North.

I take the car a crossover with room for 7 but all the seats fold except the drivers. Makes for lots of room, last time I went I bought $107 worth of fuel and that was not all my cans/jugs. I try to fill my bikes and older machines at home from my stash but never empty the jug, leave the sediment so I can take a look and see what came along for the ride that was heavier than the fuel. Then if it is polluted I'll wash the jug with the Yellow Heat and kill weeds.

My bike sat about 5 months this winter and fired right up and ran great with nothing in it. I didn't even drain the bowls. I figured I was going to be screwed but got lucky. I run 93 in everything except my bike and lawn mowers. It is only 20 cents more here than the 87 octane.
