Does anyone know if a 79 model inner fork tube will fit in my 81RH model forks?? Its bent and I can get a NOS replacement tube for the early model only. Same diameter I believe but slightly diff part number?
Thanks
How badly is it bent? If there's no pitting in the hard chrome finish, it'd be worth sticking it in a pipe bender an tweaking it to get it straight again if it's not too far gone.
Steptoe and myself recently did this to the forks on his standard with really good results.
If you do decide to replace it, make sure you get one to fit a Special. Standard staunchions are too short.
