  • Electrical gremlins need help

I was trying to put on a led tail light on my bike today. I could get the break lights to light up but not the tail light. Using an ohm meeter I could see that the tail light wire was not getting power. After looking all over I realized that I blew a fuse. Ok problem solved. Popped in a new fuse and now nothing works. Bike not starting. No neutral light. Nothing. Everything is connected that I can see. Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot this. Thanks dustin.

First, what year / model do you have? Put that in your signature line. You can edit your signature by going to the User CP which you get to by the lin in the blue header toward the top of the page.

Now, first thing to check is the main fuse. if your bike is 80-81, the main fuse is under the left side cover (accessed by the key lock) It is in a rubber holder toward the front of the bike.
Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt.
