  • Handlebar Switch Questions

I am finishing up the wiring and cleaning and rebuilding my handlebar switches and I have a few questions.

On the right side switch, the Blue/White wire grounds to the Black wire to ground the starter solenoid and power the starter motor, is that correct? The two Red/White wires are just connected to each other when the shutoff switch is in the Run position? Do they ground anywhere on the switch?

On the left side switch, the Brown/White wire brings power from the flasher relay and sends that to either the Chocolate or Green wires to light the turn signals? And the Blue/Yellow and Blue/Green wires bring power from the RLU to power the yellow (high) and green (low) headlights. On the Black wire provides ground for the Pink (horn) wire?

I just want to make sure that I am getting everything wired up correctly. Thanks.

I have confirmed that the R/W wires on the right side switch do just connect with each other when the switch is in Run and also that the L/W wire grounds out to the B wire when pressed.

I just ordered a LH switch, so I will update on that after testing.

      Yes

Only connect to each other when the switch is in run position, no grounding takes place, switch just continues the circuit to the starter solenoid, coils, and the TCI.

Yes to all of the above! Great job sorting that out!

I missed this one earlier, sorry.
