OK, this ad from the April 1st edition of a 1950's British bike magazine:-
    "The HYMOL-RIGHT jack!
This multi-purpose 3-position furnace-hardened ceramic device has no moving parts and is indestructable in normal use.
Use flatwise, edgewise or endwise to prop up your bike on any hard surface or use as a parking stop.
Do not confuse this item with a cheap builder's brick.
There you go Fred, a golden business opportunity.
You can advertise hardwood surface protectors, in three different thicknesses, used to protect the ceramic surfaces of the stand, offering more selection of stand heighth, said protectors not to be confused with crate slats.

      Hi Kev,
As it would seem to be your first time. Take pictures or make a sketch of the spacers on the axles as you take it apart. While not difficult work it does require attention to detail. You will need to refer to the manual for assembly sequence too. It can be a bit of trial and error to align the front wheel/calipers/rotors and torque the axle. Make sure it spins freely.
You will need a small amount of Moly grease for the rear wheel spline.
Double no triple check all nuts and bolts are tightened before the test ride
