You can find stock seats for $60-200 depending the conditiin. You might have luck getting a good stock seat from Andreas in the parts section...
    Hi Big Red, WMarshy,
because seats are mostly specific to both year and model the right seat ain't easy to find.
For instance it took 18 months before Andreas found one to fit my XS11SG.
FWIW, Big Red's seat looks like it could be a Saddleman drop-on padded double bucket conversion.
If that's so, Red might find there was a stock foam pad underneath the conversion that a Saddleman stock cover would fit perfectly.
And if he removed the conversion very carefully he could sell it to WMarshy.

Ha I appreciate all the opinions! The seat on there now feels like a temperpedic mattress but my good friend jim who i ride with has a KZ1000 with a harder seat and the bars are drag bars and i find it easier to take turns with a little more speed because im leaning forward a little bit! I might not even change the seat now because i hate buying things online. The handlebars though i still have no idea... will i need higher risers?

Pick the right bar and you won't need risers.

That seat looks like the rarely-seen Yamaha 'accessory' touring seat for the '78-79 standards (no plastic tailcone, stainless trim around the bottom). Look here: http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36552

If that's what it is, you're probably going to need a custom cover at this late date....

When i got the bike it had a front fairing and 2 hard saddlebags but i sold the lot for $300 and put that headlight on actually i still have the brackets and leg covers if anyone needs some for $20 ha. Anyway, that is the different seat i looked at the bottom of the seat and compared it to the picture. Does this mean the frame is different to accommodate the seat or can i get a seat for the regular 79' xs1100 frame?

The frame will not be changed, a factory seat for the F model will work. Really, the pan you have will work if you shave down the foam and recover it. It just might cause some folks like Marshy to wish you harm.

Looks to be the correct accessory seat from Yammy. Had a bought new Yamaha similar double bucket on my Venturer some three decades ago.
