Ha ha ha ha ha ha........sorry. I stayed home from work sick today so I still can't tell you if I was right or not.

Looks like y'all are having a good "discussion" though.

As Ba80 was mentioning his recently repainted tank I assume he is talking about a special. As Dgxser mentions a SH tank I also assume it is a special he is talking about. I know I am looking at special petcocks so I am pretty sure I am talking about specials as well. Others have mentioned the "Red Light" so I am pretty sure most of us are on the same page as that is a special model only item.
Maybe you would like to check out the standards to see if they are the same and be a part of the "discussion"
Ooo, ooo, ooo. Oh boy, now I can chime in on the "discussion".
The Standard, unmolested bone stock vacuum operated left and right side petcock draws fuel from the lowest level opening in either the Prime, or Reserve position.
      Wanna "discuss"?

The intent was not to incite a riot but to get more input on this. I see you are in agreement that the prime and reserve position will draw fuel from it's lowest point which is the same thing as I am saying. Now with you joining the discussion it does support what I have been saying. It also points to the fact that standards are plumbed the same as specials. So what is to discuss? You support my theory.

OK, I humbly return to this thread to acknowledge your supreme correctness.

The prime and reserve positions on the special do feed from the same inlet.

I finally got back to work this morning after being sick the last few days and checked it out on the set of valves I have here in my toolbox. I really thought I WAS right.

Every one has been wrong on this site a time or maybe 1,000 times. I know I have been wrong more than a few times. Thing is, that we discussed this issue and we have as a group have shown it to be one way or another. The site benefits, as well as its members and lurkers if the information on threads is correct.
Thanks to everyone who had input on this.
