  • Replacement for Ignition Switch

So I am ditching the key switch and going with an aftermarket toggle switch. My question is since the main fuse is 30A, does the switch also need to be rated at 30A? I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
because under the specs it says 30A, but I just got it and it is showing 20A at 12V. Will the switch burn out? IF so, I found this: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...FW6CQgodmmwA_w but it is off when the switch is up and on when it is down (kinda negating the point of the safety cover)

Does anyone know where I can find a suitable safety toggle switch?

Find somebody who sells 'industrial electronic' supplies. All you need is a SPST 25 or 30 DCA rated switch. Stay away from Radio Shack, buy a good one.

Thanks for the tip. Found this: http://www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/p472.html should keep it dry and clean and the power rating is more than enough.

Or use any switch you like, and run it through a 30/40 amp relay, the switch will only be the trigger.
