Hey Nate,
I haven't used them, still running my OEM's Plastidip coated!!
They look the same as the Partsnmore ones, but with extra stuff, gaskets, bolts, clamps, AND some ~$50.00 cheaper...even cheaper since the PNM's are just the boots, not the extra stuff. The seller has 35K feedback points with 99.9% quality....looks like a great buy to me, I woudn't hesitate getting them for that price, plus the extra stuff "to boot" !

LOL Nate.. I JUST ordered a set Friday from the same seller.
If you wait, Ill be getting mine Thursday (4/11/13) I think. You can check em out before you order.
I too was wondering but I figured ANYTHING is better than my original RTVed ones. They are really getting cracked.
Bike is coming along well. Still in the livingroom but it's in various stages of repair. A few new parts.
Gotta get a new battery tho. Mine was getting a little sluggish last fall AND the electrolyte level is low in one cell. Meh..
I also am doing the VT1000 coil upgrade with new wires and such.. Got some pimpy red/yellow/black plug wire. Should look cool.
Still need to repaint. Will call ABS and see what a can or 2 of clear pre-mixed runs..1) Fire up Internet Explorer

I bought a set like that a few years back that had the paper gaskets with them. DO NOT USE THE GASKETS. The boots seal against the head just fine without them, but if concerned, use some sort of liquid high temp gasket maker. The paper gasket gets crispy and cracks from the heat, which will cause an air leak between the boots and head after a while.Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

When I goobered up my original boots with RTV, I replaced the gaskets with Ford 2.3L thermostat gaskets from Advance Auto. lol. Had to do some trimming, but they lined up fine. I also used Indian Head Shellac. I imagine that replacing these will be an adventure in swearing now.. NOTHING dissolves that shellac.... 'Cept 220 grit.1) Fire up Internet Explorer

Alrighty! My 69$ replacements arrived today. They look great, are nice and squishy on the end. Included new bolts, clamps and gaskets. The gaskets look fine and are thicker than paper and will work if you use a thin bead of Yamabond before installing.
Will post pics later. I'm beat. Been hauling downed trees today. ugh1) Fire up Internet Explorer

I definitely don't NEED new boots, I don't like seeing the cracks in them. I just dont want to get new boots if theyre going to crack in another year or two.Nate

I think it's more age/sun/oxygen related than miles though. They recommend not using tires over 5 years old, and I noticed last time I had the carbs out, that when torquing them up and down to get them in and out of the boots, you could see some cracks open and close. They still look OK just sitting there, though the rubber is starting to show it's age.Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

I bought a set of these from the same seller in February and never got around to taking photos. Now is as good a time as any. They are going to go on my '78 fuel injection project, so they have yet to be installed and used.
They seem to be decent good quality for the price.
There are a couple bubbles in this one on the inside that probably aren't a big deal and the thin rubber coating on the gasket side is spotty, but again, not a big deal.
These are all from a box labelled "B".
