I'm not sure about additives. I was reading about some stuff called Seafoam. It says you can add it to motorcycles along with cars trucks, etc. . Was wondering if anyone has used this stuff or something similar. If so has it made any difference? (Thanks in advance for anyones info)

sea foam
For the most part i dont like (mechanic in a bottle) slick 50 ,prolong , stop tranny leaks etc, etc.I did use seafoam with very good results though. It was in a 1968 amf harley single cylnder snowmobile. It had been parked outside for many years. When i got it it would not stay running.Carb gummed up i believe. As long as i sprayed gas in carb it would run.A friend told me try seafoam.I did thinking it wouldnt work.Boy what a surprise.Put some in the tank and got it started(while spraying gas at first) Then in about a couple minutes the thing started running fine on its own.Seemed to clean up the carbs and fuel lines. Ran that sled to the ground after that.I would recomend it .1982 XJ 1100

I have used SeaFoam in my XJ for a couple years now as a fuel additive, seems to work well and no bad side effects. Have not tried it as an oil additive.Jerry Fields

sea foam
It is a great snake oil...
I have used it in my cars as well, it originally was for outboards i believe, (i used to work on them and remember it there)..
It is amazing stuff... I haven't used it in the oil on Rusty yet, but have used it in the fuel, in fact its gonna go into the carbs today again.. see if i can delay another "triple clean" its been sitting a while ...
now if it would just work on flat rear tires...jeff "Wags"

Seafoam
A friend called me on the marine radio, and said his pontoon boat wouldnt run over 1/2 throttle, said it acted like it was running out of gas.He stopped at my dock, and we added what was left of my bottle of Seafoam to his 6 gal. tank.
By the time he got home(2 hours??) he said it was running great, and pulling gas from the main jet's again.
"Johnsons" gonna get a dose when it run's again.

Ok, I've heard enough, I'll give it a shot. My SF must have a bunch of crud in the bottom of the tank, I'm not sure I could even draw all the fuel out if I tried to run out of gas . I'll give SeaFoam a shot and see what happens. Any idea of the cost?If it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game. (borrowed from strom)
The idea is to die young............as late as possible.

If the "crud" is rust flakes, you may as well remove the petcocks, clean their screens and rinse the tank. I do not believe that these snake oils will do that for you. They are made for disolvable stuff.Skids (Sid Hansen)

I've never used SeaFoam (Nor heard of it) but I use Lucas Injector/Carb cleaner in my Blazer and I swear by it. I do it every oil change. It's a mild dissolver as well as a mild oil. Works good in carbs, great in injectors. I sell a ton of the stuff to customers.Tony K.
