So now i have decided that i will be doing it myself.
    Hi John,
you sure you asked the right question?
If you asked how much to change my tires but didn't add if I bring the wheels in you may have been told the if I bring the bike in price instead.
And for that, $180 is about what most dealers are asking.
FYI, Saskatoon's bring the wheel in price is $40.

I pm'd John(Nightengale) yesterday, I'll be working on his tranny with him doing the gear swap...2nd set of gears already undercut...so we'll be doing the tire swap as well since I have the tools and such, will help him save some of that hard earned $$ for sure!

            Hi TC,
back when all bikes ran 4"-18 Avons I'd pry the old tire off with a Halford's spoon, slather the new tire up with hand soap and stomp it on with my naily boots.
But tires were softer then (or I was harder). These days the bike store gets the job.
OTOH, Bro with tire irons is better yet.
