I have fj1100 carbs on my bike and love them, and i am finally getting around to making them work wiith the vaccume advance. The only question i have is that i have read to put a jet in the line to make it work properly, but i know dont know what size or kind of jet to use. Any help woould be appreciated. Also for those that are familiar with my bike i have some baffles on order as well.

"If it runs bad, it's usually the carbs. If the tires go flat, I suspect the carbs. If the wind blows the bike over, the carbs were probably to blame. If my wife yells at me about something, I tell her to talk to the carbs" -IncubusComment

not one
There's not a jet in the original line, and you don't need one. I have different carburetors on my bike, that wasn't set up for the vacuum advance on our bikes, so the jet in the vacuum advance line, is something that I need to make it work with my carburetors.Comment

I have tapped my Keihin carbs from a ZRX1200 and found the vacuum pulsing because it was nearly impossible to drill a hole small enough to act as a damper. I used an old pilot jet and screwed it right into this plastic fitting I used to connect the line to the carb.

There wasn't, the vacuum tube on #2 carb of the original Mikunis was already 'pin-holed' at its base.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.Comment
