Yep, I was hesitant to pay that much at first but the piece of mind not having to wonder at 3AM if I turned the damn petcock off was way worth it. After having one for a week, I ordered another one for the other bike. No regrets. Good luck with your project.

I think it will. I got this link from a Honda Valkyrie rider. It works on a 1500 cc Valkyrie.
