When i used the Seafoam the bike didn't run that long or well enough so it could have accumulated in the carbs before the gas washed it out.My #1 carb was not working well and that is where the most stuff was.I'm not saying a light oil was bad just for cleaning purposes only i didn't like the clean up.I doubt you can see any residue in the tank after using it.Also i put it in when the bike was sitting in a 25 + degree storage metal unit.I seriously doubt that it would hurt the carbs,i would rather have that in the carbs than the crap from fuel sitting.

Any chance someone "fogged" the carbs prior to putting her away for the winter?

No-the bike was put away in May of last year as i had some medical issues and couldn't ride.I didn't winterize it as i planned to ride it.Now I'm thinking maybe Stabil has that residue that was left over as my Brother put that in one weekend and started the bike up as i was not physically able to.I'm thinking every year i should take the carbs off before it goes into my storage unit and remove the battery as well. The carbs can never be too clean now can they?

Well, first off Stabil doesn't 'mingle' well with the fuel available these days. Stabil DOES make a new product for the new 'crappy' fuel. Comes blue in color, but don't remember what it's called. All the bike shops are pushin' it now. Myself, never have used any of that crap, and both my bikes will sit at times for several months. Never have had a fuel issue. I can tell you what has happened to a couple folks on the ST forum recently who used Stabil, ran the scoot a bit then stored. When they brought them out of storage and went to fire them up, a couple valves hung open and we all know what results that produces not being a 'free-run' motor. When carb banks were pulled off, there was a gummy substance produced from the stabil/fuel mixture around valve stems.......not good guys. All I can say is glad I've never used the crap. Maybe once every couple years I'll run some SeaFoam, but that's if I plan on riding the tank out. Gotta be careful, IMO there's alot of 'snake oil' out there. I don't use any of this kinda stuff in my wead-eater or mower, and they sit with fuel in them all winter. Two pulls of the rope and both start and run perfectly come spring.
