will removing just the airbox "snorkel" under the seat of my all stock '80 special have any effect on how my bike runs? that looks like a great place to install my gorilla alarm...

As long as you leave the part that is inside the airbox intact and only cut off from where the snorkel exits the airbox.Nathan
