    Road King muffler install, ideas?

Just got a set of 2005 Road King mufflers for free, I want to graft them onto my project 80G that has rusted out mufflers.

I've seen the tech tip for installing Fat Boy mufflers. Does anyone know if the Fat Boy mufflers are the same approx 4" outside diameter, which is what the Road King muffs are.

Or better yet, has anyone used Road King mufflers and have any input before I start the project and run into snags that make it not worth the effort and elbow grease?

    Thanks guys!

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462

What is the inner diameter of the inlet? That is the first question.
Hold them up along side the stock one and see if they are going to interfere with the stock mounts, running downhill to the rear, interfereing with brake lever, side stand, etc.
    These will work, http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-Harley-...sories&vxp=mtr
In fact, bring them up here and you can use my hanger queen to get an idea of how they may look.

Hey CZ, 1.75" inlet, runs for 2 inches, then tapers up in the next inch to 4" diameter, then runs 4" all the way to the end, total length from inlet to outlet a nominal 29" . I'll bring one with me.

I think I might have put the same thing on my daughter's 80 LG. I just got some flat stock aluminum bars from the hardware store and bent them to be a slight s curve slid them on the header pipe (luckily there was enough to attach them) and hung them to be parallel to the ground. I also had to hamer a dent to allow the brake lever to work.
My pictures are in the following link.

Read the post called "for those who have installed harley mufflers" at the top of this forum. I personally recommend welding them to achieve the angle you need. I wouldn't do it any other way.
