Hello everybody, I have a 79 standard with no spark on #1 & #4 cylinders.
I have searched for a while and I think Kiethh had a similar problem.
I have been using a timing light to see if I am getting spark. So I know its not the plugs. The 1 & 4 wires aren't getting juice.
I have swapped the grey and orange wires and coils 1,4 with 2,3 and still no spark on 1 and 4.
I have swapped the TCI with a 99% known good TCI.
I have checked the P/U coil wires 720ohms no splits.
All wires involved have been di-electric greased and cleaned.
The only thing that worked for a moment was when I unplugged the ballast resistor and I got spark then I plugged it back in and got spark then the bike got fuel starved and shut off. (forgot to turn the gas on )
After that no more spark.
I think that's all the info i have....
Any suggestions?
