Hi guys, I want to replace a carb body since I broke a post. I have a '79 but on ebay there's a reasonably priced set for an '82. Are the carb bodies the same?

'78-79 are the same, '80-81 are the same, '82 is close to the '80-81 but there are differences that make swapping not a bolt-on. Look here for the differences: http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35964Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

Which carb body are you in need of. Quite often others have extar parts around and that may be one of them. I am standing here looking at a #3 carb body, I know someone was looking for a while back but can not remember who. If you ask the right question you may find what you are looking for.
