  • cone air filters

I have been having trouble with my bike cutting out during fast take offs and then, it would smooth out, I saw on the forum where the cone filter would block the air holes on the carb, I frimmed the shoulder with a razor blade, but the bike still cut out, I did everything suggested here except take the filters off and see how it does, the problem was solved, I will try to trim out the part where the air jet is, if that don't work, where can I get some cone filters that will work, I have a 79 standard, Thanks Later. Mike, that's a great deal, do you know if they have the inside shoulder that causes problems with our carbs. TIA. Later 'Dog

The EMGO's have a little bit of shoulder, but it doeesn't interfere with any air passages. Mine have no markings on them that I've ever noticed.

Mike, the bike did the same thing, it stuttered the same way as before, I took then off and ran naked for about 10 miles, it never once stuttered. Later 'Dog
