  • XJ11 Oil Drain Plug

    Hello folks,

I am in the process of figuring out what I am missing from a basket case xj11 that I acquired. This is either a needle in a haystack or an elephant in the room question but, does anyone know the size of the oil drain plug on the XJ11?

That plug is an M14 x 1.5 mm (fine thread) and the threaded length looks about 9mm.

You could pull a plug out of the middle or final drive and take it to an auto parts store and get a replacement with a magnet on it. All the plugs are the same threads.

        Thanks,

I have spent hours and hours on the interwebs trying to find this one piece of info. This bike came in several boxes. I have gotten it mostly assembled so I can see what I'm missing and to see if It will run. Whoever disassembled this thing either lost or got rid of just a few parts, some of which make no sense. I have an oil pipe arriving this week. I still need all 4 needle valves and seats for the carbs and I have to do something about 1 of the carb slide diaphrams. I'm going to try the spray rubber Idea for now until I can come up with the $170 for new slides.

You need to slow down just abit, and spend some of those hours on your new home for info on these bikes or you're going to waste $170

I think he is trying to say that you probably don't need to.replace the whole slide and.diaphragm. you can buy new diaphragms for around $65 for all 4.

When you are looking replace parts or just need stiff, ask here first before just looking online and finding something. We can usually steer you to the right place for the best price, or even someone here might have some laying around that they will never use and just give it to you.

Some parts are very model year specific and WE know what they are but often times online.dealers don't. So just take your time, ask questions! Use us
