A few years ago there was trouble on here from a certain member which I did not forget about. It's partially the reason I was agitated. As far as the rant goes, I'm typically a very patient mechanic. It's a dead horse.

          Ah right.

Don't forget that write-up on your type of coil though. It would be very handy for others with the same type coil.

I've got other coils on the way. I haven't even heard this bike run yet. I'll dig into the coils soon.

James, it is an abreviation of an Americanism..."your beating a dead horse". Meaning of the saying, the issue has been addressed, time to move on.

Its ok, now and then you folks from across the big pond come up with a few that have me scratching my head to.

Man, I'm having trouble with this reply.

Just wanted to comment that Dogg has repented by self-proclaiming himself as a prick, so now that Dogg has repented it is time for forgiveness.

Sounds like all is cool with everyone.

Best way. We all get frustrated from time to time and then explode. Friends are people who forgive you your mistakes and I like to think we're all internet pals on this forum. Or maybe I'm just naive and schmaltzy?

                    Pictures of Plug Wires

I have only attempted to post pictures one other time, so bear with me.

These are pictures of the plug wires on my 79 Special. They are 7mm solid core wires that I got with the Dyna Coils. They have a Moroso insulated sleeve (wrap) and at the spark plug end there is a Moroso shrink wrap where the NGK (1K ohm) plug cap joins to the plug wire.

That is one clean looking engine. I hope I can get mine there one day. Nice plug wires too.

                            Hey there Pitt,

Apparently after you posted the links, you MOVED or renamed your photos, and the links didn't work! I found your account and album and relinked them....that is one fine looking touring rig, very interesting front wheel dressing there!!!!

                              Touring

Yes, a little more practice on my part is needed to post pictures.

This Venturer has everything that the original owner could find from Yamaha, the dealer, and elsewhere. On the front wheel there are caliper and rotor covers. On the front fender there is a ?????. Not sure what to call that.

I like it more since I got it. It is a good riding bike from what I see so far. On a 170 mile trip the other day in the mountains it performed well and got 42 MPG. Bike only has 24K miles on it.

I did change those 15 lights around the rear to LED and am going to get the upgraded regulaor/rectifier from Tony.
