    I have my SF here but my SG seat is in Texas but I do have an SG grab bar and an old ratty custom SG seat.

    Your right, the later grab bar rear mount is mounted just above and to the rear of the turn signal mount and the bar I have on mine it is about 6" forward. The SF has a hole there but its not raised or threaded so to accept the later grab bar would require a bolt & spacer.

    The seat does dip quite a bit lower on the later one as compared to the 79. The pan would either have to be modified to clear the covers or the 79 seat pan would have to be modified to accept the tail light.

    I stand corrected, again.

      I've had an 80-81 seat on my 79SF, it fits but the side covers won't come off unless the seat is removed.
