  • MSD spark plug wire

I tried the search button and I have not found an answer to my question. I have a xj1100 1983 canadian. I want to make an upgrade with dyna 3 ohm coil and I would like use some MSD wires. What are the specs I need to follow? Is that they are good for my application:

Have you any suggestions? I want the black wires and the plugs MSD not too expensive

Does anyone can tell me what is this coil?

I wouldst get those with since they come with straight plug boots. You are going to want 2 short 90 degree plug boots and 2 long reach 120 degree boots. Any solid core plug wire will work. Don't get the fancy carbon core or anything else like that. The core Is to brittle to stand up to the vibrations of the free hanging wires on a bike. For the coils get Dynatek DC-1 coils. They are pretty close to bolt on.

Not sure about the MSD coils your planning to use. The coils I have seen require 7 MM wire to fit into the coils. I also found the Carbon Fibre wires did not conduct well for me. I finally found some 7 MM copper core plug wire on Z1 Enteprises, other sites carry it to.
