My SG had standard bars on it when I got it, I didn't like hunching over to ride so I changed it back to the buckhorns. The felt a little strange to begin with but now I'm used to them I find them quite comfortable.

Some have talked about Honda CB750 bars as they are aproximately as tall as buckhorns but wider and flatter and don't curl down. I have a set on the SF I'm putting together but I haven't had a chance to try them out other than sitting on the bike in the garage. They seem like they may be OK though.
