Carburators

Hi, my name is Steve and I'm new to this group. I need some information. I have a complete set of rebuildable carbs that the owner wants to sell. He says that they came off of a '79 XS1100. I've been led to believe that these carbs are hard to find in good condition. I've removed the float bowls from this set and they look like they would clean up well. All the slides are free and, although I haven't taken the top covers off, the diaphrams feel like they're good. The information that I need is how to identify the carbs so that I don't misrepresent what they are and what they fit. Can anyone help me with this.
