I was referred to a guy who works on classical bikes like the xs11. He knew what he was talking about the carb. 300 is not bad. Most places around want 600 700 or more. 300 is not bad for me. As i said i can get my permit now to ride. I rather not break something that cast me alot of money to get or replace. But i will see if i can the parts i will if im going to rebuild. Its going to cost about the same anyway. But i do get experience to.

If he sent you to Ollie, I am sure you will get quality product back. That is a good price for someone who knows what they are doing to do the work.
AS has been stated, you will need to tune and synch them to your engine after you get them back though.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt.

I'd let Ole get you set up, you can clean them next time. I'm sure there is alot of easyer projects to spend your time on while they get rebuilt. Like some brakes, clean drive fluid and oil. Petcock rebuild?79 XS11 Special (Lazarus)

I found the brake system way more challenging than the carbs. I would rather clean carbs than mess with the electrical system. But, then again, I'm the only person that I know that actually enjoys working on multi carb setups.
If you were just a little closer, I'd ride over and help ya with yer project. Have fun rebuilding yer XS, they are great bikes.

Mine has the number of 1633. I do believe that the myth of a total of 500 of MS 1100's were made is false. I remember a post about this and reporting serial numbers about a year ago. I do love mine and playing with it every now and then. Just frustrates because I have yet to get it to purr.[B Bone stock 1981 SX1100LH 1,430 miles bringing back to life, slowly but surely.
