    Hi-- I should be able to find this myself somewhere but can anyone tell me the torque setting for the 4 bolts that hold the drive shaft housing to the rear hub please on 79 xs 1100??--Thanks---Jerro

    Final drive to rear of swingarm 4 bolts are 30 ft/lb according to Clymers manual page 216.
    2H7 (79) owned since '89

      Re--Torque settings.

      Thanks very much Phil, appreciate that, i packed a whole lot of grease in there and i`m expecting it to `ooooze` out the join when i swing on the torque wrench! Thanks again.

        You're supposed to apply some gasket sealer to the arm/FD mating surface; if you don't, that will be a continual source of 'stuff' leaking out....
