I am in the process of cleaning and rebuilding the carbs on an XS110F I just purchased. First time for me doing this so, having a bit of an issue with floats. It appears that at some point in the past, someone rebuilt the carbs and replaced the 2 middle with non-OEM floats. When I first got the bike, rode it for about 20 miles as a shake down, (this bike has 18,00 miles, had been sitting in storage for over 5 years) seemed OK, but could tell there where carb idling issues and I believe that aside from typical varnishing and old sludge, these are part of the reason. I have been able to find floats still made by Yamaha that by the part number, are available. Unfortunately, I contacted a distributor and they are on back order with no due in date. I am running out of day light on the riding season here in upstate NY. Does anyone have a suggestion on perhaps a reliable aftermarket float that might do the trick? Other than this issue, they seem to be in really good shape, and it is at this point, about the only thing holding me up from hitting the street by this weekend. Thanks ahead of time, Jon

I just got some float needles from SCI and they got to me surprisingly quick, especially since they came from Canada and also got fwd'd from my previous address, took about 8 business days iirc. I would recommend them to anyone on the basis of price and shipping time, will post update once I get the carbs back on in the next day or 2 as far as product quality is concerned.BARE BONES CHOPPERS: If it don't make it go faster, you don't need it!
