Try squirting some light oil up in there and use a square Robertson drive bit in your drill to turn right/left and see if it frees up.

Did u hit 200km/h then stop for good?

If your speedo was not greased up the tiny plastic gears may have heated up and fused together from the lack of lubricant.

Is it marked primarily in Km/h or Mph? A midnight gauge might be tough to find in Km/h.

Good news is an American one arked with both will only let you go 150 Km/h

My guess is the worm gear in there seized somehow. I've worn out several.

The older XS750s have a speedo that reads to 140mph or 220kmph.

It should look fine on your MNS but be sure and get the proper one. The green one showm mounted in the pic doesn't read kms and won't match, obviously. The one sitting above it in the pic will be the one you want. The 750 has the same front tire size and speedo drive gear so you'll be good. It will read about 5mph slow the same as stock.

They are fairly cheap on fleabay.

I rarely go over 65Mph on mine.

        Mine reads 15mph slow....

Sorry, John reminded me, I'm backwards. Mine reads 5mph FAST. When it reads 70mph I'm actually doing 65. Putting a 110/90/19 tire on front has made it dead on though.
