  • Gauge Mounting Ideas

I am going to be adding on 3 2" gauges (volt, oil temp, oil pressure) and I am trying to come up with a way to mount them up around the stock gauges. Anyone have any ideas?

Also how much room is there around the stock gauges with a fairing mounted? When it gets colder I will be putting my fairing on for the first time so I need to keep that in mind when mounting these gauges.

I've mounted two but not three!?

Used an old standard gauge bracket, cut it up and bent it to fit.

If it were me, I'd just wait and put the gauges in the fairing. If it's a Windjammer, you could even add a cyclesounds unit, sans the radio, and put the gauges in there. The Pacifico fairing has TONS of space to mount gauges as well.

How much did the guages set you back and how long did the install take?

do you have the gauge cluster mount to mount them under the dash of the car? I you do I am not sure of clearance but maybe you could mount them to the top of the tach and speedo assy on the housing itself. But like I said I am not sure about clearance.

That has crossed my mind, but I was also wondering about clearance with a fairing.

                    Hey Nate,

You don't need to access the handlebar clamps too often, so you might be able to rig up a couple of bar clamps and mount then just below the ignition switch between the handlebar uprights!?
