It is a bit of a frankenbike. It is most likely an SG with an earlier engine and 160 speedo on it. It has the 80-81 rear fender, brake light, and seat grab rail on it. But the engine does have the kickstart in it.
I also like how they knew enough to call it an F model but not enough to know it would be an SF model, if it is a 79 VIN bike.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

That's too much, even for here. It's non-standard and hardly collectible as a result of that. That high opening bid isn't even the reserve!XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

Paint Color
That white paint job must be the answer to adding value to the bike. Looks like someone had an SG and SF sitting around and decided to combine them into one bike. Nice looking bike but I think they have to be delusional to have a starting bid of $4500. However if it sells at that price I know what color I will be painting my fenders before putting mine on ebay.

It's just a plain old Kerker 4-1, isn't it? They don't need any engine tuning anyway as far as I know.
Is it actually an F? It certainly isn't this side of the pondXS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. FrankenBike is right. For a 79, the forks are wrong, the rear fender, tail light, seat, color, exhaust, carbs need tuned (XSpecially #1 cylinder, rear shocks are wrong nand only has one mirror. To hit on the paint a little. The graphics are real similar to the Honda Nighthawk of the early 80's. OK. enough tearin up the bike. Not a bad lookin bike for those who don't know about the XS.I wouldn't pay what they want for it. Not even close.S.R.Czekus

Yes, OK as a bike but he's trying to sell it as a collector's item and it's priced that way. No way will it sell at that priceXS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. In looking at it more closely the only parts that look to be from an SG are the grab rail, rear fender and brake light. The frame, engine and rest of the bike look to be an SF. It is a nice looking bike but for the price they are asking they should have spent a lot more time polishing the aluminum. It will be interesting to see if it sells or if they even get any bids at that price.

Basically then it's a messed about with XS11, non-standard, reasonable looking, probably a good runner, with several cosmetic 'issues'. ie nothing exceptional and certainly not collectible.
My guess is that nobody will bid on it.
Mind you, if one wanted to up the value of the XS11's anyway, why not place a bid at the opening bid level? It won't reach reserve and therefore one would not need to buy it..........XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace.
