I have a 1979 xs1100 Special, when in high gears, i give it gas to pass, and it slips, but only at high throttle and higher gears, any thoughts.

New set of clutch springs should solve the prob. A fairly cheap fix and easy to do on the side stand without even draining the oil.Mike Giroir
