Another thing that could cause an idle issue is clogged pilot/idle circuits in the carbs.
But it's a whole lot easier to check the pick up coil wires first, rather than pulling the carbs for a cleaning.Hi, my name is George & I'm a twisty addict!

Pour a strong dose of Seafoam carb cleaner in the fuel tank, run the bike, let it sit overnite. May be enough to unclog the pilot circuit in the carbs.2H7 (79) owned since '89
