  • 78 XS1100E Rear Wheel Spacer

Pulled the bike down for a complete restore, put a new rear axel on. Noticed a gap between the brake calliper and torque plate. After research I'm missing a spacer??? Have turned the parts bin and shed upside down. No spacer. Are they still available for purchase?? I'm unable to locate one

Sorry, but those are long discontinued. I'm assuming you're running a 17" rear wheel and need the spacer between the two caliper brackets. They are all the same on the XS11s equipped with the 17" wheel, so you may be able to find a used one. Worst case, have one made; you need a .790" axle ID hole, about 1.350" OD, and .475" thick. Do make it out of steel, not aluminum as the axle will 'pull' though the softer aluminum.
